Dr. Michael Yatcilla is the senior vice president of Worldwide Research and Development at Herbalife Nutrition. Heis a global nutraceutical professional who provides expert insight into product science, formulation, development and manufacturing. He has also held roles as vice president of Innovation and Ingredients, Innovation, Clinical Research and Targeted Nutrition and R&D Supplements.

Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Dr. Yatcilla was vice president at Natrol, where he created and led a nutraceutical R&D department that invented commercial products. He was also a director of strategic sourcing at Shaklee Corporation as well as a director at Cyvex Nutrition.

Dr. Yatcilla earned a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University. He also has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware. When he’s not in the lab,  Dr. Yatcilla loves to stay active outdoors and enjoys using Herbalife Nutrition Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix.
